Three kinds of learning space: STREAM Hubs for research and prototyping, iLabs in spoke schools, and Creative Corners for work-integrated learning.
STREAM Hubs are one of the principal components of the ecosystem. They give students the physical infrastructure for diverse academic activities and research projects. Each hub has more than 400 instruments organised into six sections. 87 STREAM Hubs are being established across six districts.
The Integrated Lab is implemented at the upper primary level in spoke schools affiliated with the STREAM Ecosystem. Its main objective is to convey textbook concepts through engaging and experiential learning activities. Each iLab carries over 100 instruments, including chemicals, laboratory equipment, electronic instruments and models, across six districts. Special training programmes for teachers are progressing across the districts.
Far beyond a physical space in a school, the Creative Corner aims to instil creativity in every corner. Students take on hands-on activities and conduct experiments here. It prioritises cross-disciplinary learning and brings to life the core emphasis of the Kerala Curriculum Framework (2023): bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application and vocational skills.
Each Creative Corner is equipped with tools and resources spanning vocational fields such as agriculture, cooking, electronics and fashion.
